TrailOff is a groundbreaking app created by Swim Pony in partnership with the Pennsylvania Environmental Council and the Circuit Trails Network that transforms nature trails into stories that one can walk into, through the visions of incredible local BIPOC and LGBTQ+ authors. WeWalk PHL Wednesday Walking Group

Come out for a walk in the park! Join neighbors for a free, easy 1-hour walk on the Bartram’s Mile Trail with a group. Come every week or just when you can! All walks will be led by a trained We Walk group leader from the community and will meet at the Welcome Center. This FREE two-hour Learn to Ride class teaches young participants how to ride a bicycle.  This class is perfect for those who have never ridden a bike or who may need a refresher. Community Garden Walking Tour

Join Neighborhood Gardens Trust (NGT), Feet First Philly (FFP), Clean Air Council and AARP as we visit 5 community gardens in the Point Breeze section of South Philadelphia which are preserved or soon-to-be-preserved by NGT. During the walk, participants will get a chance to learn from garden leaders and explore diverse community garden spaces in the neighborhood. FFP representatives will discuss walkability along the route, and the role that green spaces like community gardens play in the pedestrian environment. Group will meet at 15th Street Garden at 10am. Cuba’s varied landscapes and topography provide the ideal habitats for three of Delaware’s native owl species – the barred, great horned, and Eastern screech – and winter is the best time to spot them roosting in our trees. Welsh Road Library will host Minas for a small music program. Minas introduces students to the country of Brazil through its music, Samba and Bossa Nova. After performing examples of Brazilian music and presenting historic, geographical and educational references, they introduce Brazil’s famous festival Carnaval, demonstrating authentic Brazilian percussion instruments - surdo, tamborim, repinique, agogô, reco-reco, ganzá, pandeiro, and cuíca. Participation is enhanced by engaging students to sing in Portuguese (the language of Brazil), scat, and play Brazilian samba percussion (instruments supplied). Students learn while being engaged and having fun.
