    In Summer 2024, we learned of a potential chemical contamination originating at a privately owned site adjacent to Bartram’s Garden and the Bartram’s Mile Trail. According to the Pennsylvania Department of Health and our independent test results, most park users are at very low risk for exposure.     Bartram’s Garden Welcome Center

    Come out for a walk in the park! Join neighbors for a free, easy 1-hour walk on the Bartram’s Mile Trail with a group. Come every week or just when you can! All walks will be led by a trained We Walk group leader from the community and will meet at the Welcome Center. Thursday walks in the Garden will be held weekly at 5pm between September 4 and October 30.   We Walk PHL is a free walking group that meets several times per week at various public parks.   • After-School Enrichment: Intro to Archery & Wilderness Survival and Intermediate Wilderness Survival

    This fall, Awbury’s AdventureWoods is the place to be for hands-on outdoor fun! Children ages 8–11 can join Intro to Archery & Wilderness Survival on Thursdays, Sept 25–Oct 30, 2025, from 4–6 PM, where they’ll learn the basics of archery, try their hand at carving, cook over a campfire, and practice core survival skills like foraging, knot-tying, shelter-building, and first aid. For older adventurers ages 11–15, the Intermediate Wilderness Survival program runs Tuesdays, Sept 23–Oct 28, 2025, from 4–6 PM, taking things to the next level with advanced archery drills, tool carving, matchless fire-starting, cooking, and more complex survival challenges.
