Cuba’s varied landscapes and topography provide the ideal habitats for three of Delaware’s native owl species – the barred, great horned, and Eastern screech – and winter is the best time to spot them roosting in our trees. This walking group will meet on alternating days at Bartram’s Garden every 3rd and 4th Thursdays and John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge every 1st and 2nd Thursdays.     Cliveden offers free house tours every second Saturday of the month, May to October, as part of their Second Saturday programming.     Instructor Yam Vallis will lead folks in an Afro-Herbalism workshop on the history of the Elderberry plant and the making of syrup. Participants will have a chance to take home elderberry syrup, but we will also make large batches, with the intention of distributing the rest, with a focus on Philly’s Black community and herbal hubs like Black Bird Rising.
