We'll have a guide from Bird Philly helping us find and ID our feathered friends. A few pairs of binoculars will be available for participant's to borrow. This event is for all levels of birders, new and old. Participants' will meet on the grass in front of the rec center, near the playground at 8:30am. North zone horticulturist, Briar Maverick will lead the way in a hands-on pruning class!Summer is the time to prune many iconic spring-blooming shrubs, like azaleas and lilacs. Join Briar for a hands-on workshop to learn about summer pruning, as well as rejuvenation pruning for large or mature shrubs.
