We set a goal that within ten years we would plant two trees for each tree removed meaning that we would add an additional 1,000 trees to campus by 2027. Generally, spent oyster shells go to landfills, but with our recycling program, shells are going back to the bay! Oyster shells are important for baby oysters and the entire aquatic ecosystem.
