TGIF! Start your day off right with a brisk, one-hour hike through Tyler’s gardens and out onto the trails. Each week we’ll explore a different part of the Arboretum and be back in time for a picnic breakfast or whatever else your Friday has in store. The Weekend Warm-up Hike is an introduction to Tyler’s hiking trails and a moderate cardio workout. Routes will cover a mix of asphalt, gravel and natural surfaces. After Hours at The Woodlands

Explore The Woodlands after dark on Friday, October 7th. BYO chairs or blankets, picnics, and beverages warm up by a fire pit and wander the historic Hamilton Core of The Woodlands by moonlight. This After Hours will feature a spooky outdoor concert by the Philadelphia Viola Quartet at 6:30pm. After Hours events are free for members. Autumn Avian Adventures

Each autumn, raptors and songbirds flock across our forests and fields, following age-old instincts to fly south for the winter.  Expansive fields, wetlands, and woodlands sustain a variety of avian species. Bring your binoculars and join birder Mike Niven for a guided bird walk. We’ll look for migratory and resident birds, including woodpeckers, jays, and other woodland species.
