FTQ (Femme/Trans/Queer) Gravel Giggles

Come out and join us in the woods for a beginner/intermediate ride on Boxer’s Trail into Belmont! This is a no-drop ride that is around 15-20miles long. If trails are not rideable, we’ll take to the road for some hills. Bring your 35mm (&up!) tires, Boxer’s can be surprisingly loose gravel and Belmont is nice and twisty with some fun logs. We can show you how to take a picture of your bike in the beautiful morning light and giggle our way over to some coffee. We’ll aim to end around 9:30, but you’re always welcome to peel off early.

There are two sets of tickets on the next page. One is a general admission ticket that’s free. The second one is a donation-based ticket that gets split between our community card and our ride leader. The community card is a fund we started last year to provide flat fixes to folks who can’t afford them otherwise. As the ticket is donation-based, there is no obligation to do so; however, our hope is that through donations, we can expand our fund and the kind of services we can offer people.

Is this a no drop ride? Yes, but please note that this is not a beginner ride. We have an aspirational average of speed 11-13mph, so we’re calling it intermediate level. If you’re unsure if this ride will be a good fit, feel free to get in touch via email so we can discuss further.
FTQ? Is this ride for me? Maybe! The idea with our new FTQ acronym is that we are trying to center queer and trans folks. So, for example, if you are a straight cisgender woman and want to come ride with us, you are welcome, with the understanding that this will be a queer and trans space and you are arriving as an ally.
