Meeting at the Historic RittenhouseTown Kiosk Back by popular demand! Plus a Live Performance of Kelpius’ Hymns. We will explore some of the mysticism, mythology, religion, legends, history, art, music, and architecture found within the Wissahickon. We will have ample time to examine these from the three different perspectives of history, theology, and psychology. Along the way, we will visit Lover’s Leap, the Henry Avenue Bridge, the Hermitage, and Kelpius’ Cave. At each of these sites, we will consider topics ranging from hidden subway stations, apocalyptic movements, and the Wissahickon’s most famous hermit. For the first time we will hear

We will hike about 4 to 6 miles over the scenic trails of the east side of the Wissahickon Park. Starting at the Crefeld Street trailhead we will follow the Lavender and White Trails enjoying the great views of the Valley and creek. Distance and pace will be determined by the participants.
