Public Meeting: Wissahickon Valley Park Streambank Resiliency & Flood Study

May 7 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Meeting at New Courtland Conference Center (6950 Germantown Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19119)
Join us for an interactive meeting for our ongoing Wissahickon Valley Park Streambank Resiliency & Flood Study! FOW and our consultant, Princeton Hydro, will share a brief presentation on the project. Then, we will facilitate breakout sessions to learn from you about what flood and erosion issues you are seeing in the park.
The purpose of the Study is to identify and prioritize restoration needs along Forbidden Drive and 7 access trails. With Princeton Hydro, we will identify the areas of the park most vulnerable to flooding and erosion, and develop plans to restore water quality, improve trail access, and protect our habitat.
Free for all to attend. Light refreshments will be provided. This venue is ADA accessible and has an elevator.
Parking: There is a visitor parking lot on site off Sedgwick Street. If it’s full, there’s a free lot at 40.054518, -75.187851, accessible from Carpenters Ln (behind Philadelphia Fire Department), and street parking along W Sedgwick Street. See map for details.

Transit: 23 & 71 bus routes; ~11 min walk from CHW Carpenter station, ~18 min walk from CHE Sedgwick Station. See map for details.
Bathrooms: There will be ADA accessible bathrooms available onsite.
