Welcome to Herbal Aid! The Many Hands Community Apothecary is a cluster of garden beds located in The Farm at Awbury. During the Herbal Aid Ed course, students will care and support those garden beds over the 9-month course of study. Join us for Wild Wisdom & Potluck! The Wild Wisdom course is designed to introduce common and underutilized wild edible, medicinal, and craft plants of the Philadelphia bio-region, ancestral homeland of the Lenape/Wingohocking people. Wild Wisdom will teach you to find, harvest, prepare, and cook wild foraged plants! The course is offered as a 4-part 3-hour workshop series covering each season’s bountiful harvest: spring, summer, fall, and winter. PGP's Neighborhood Family Garden is a place for everyone from the surrounding neighborhood to come learn to grow, harvest, and cook their own produce as well as participate in shared wellness activities. About the event Are you a neighborhood community member looking to learn to grow or to connect to a group of healthy neighbors to enjoy wellness outdoors together? Participation is free however a minimum of 6 hours of help is required before taking home your part of the harvest. Philly Goat Project's "Tree Cycling" is a farm festival and a fundraiser for our non profit. Donations of $20 per tree support Philly Goat Project's free programming all year long that includes goat walks, reading with the goats at libraries and environmental education in city parks, animal assisted therapy and teen job skills training . Festival days are free and you don't need a tree to join in the fun. Enjoy exploring the farm, staying warm by the fire pit, sipping hot cocoa and our petting area with the goats.
