Bring a friend, and a yoga mat, and get ready for a scenic workout. Rest in pose at Laurel Hill’s cemetery yoga class led by certified yoga instructor and Friend of Laurel Hill Veronica Selig. All levels welcome to flow with us; no prior yoga experience needed!  We’ll be practicing vinyasa yoga, which focuses on linking synchronized breath with a sequence of poses. Each movement is paired with an inhalation or exhalation, creating a harmonious rhythm while building strength, flexibility, balance, and mindfulness. Stop in for a story with your little ones 2-6 year oldCome bring your little ones to Fairmount Water Works to enjoy a story time and explore the Interpretive Center. Geared towards 2-6 year olds we will read a story from the Philadelphia Free Library, then go on a little tour outside. Guardians must accompany child during program. If there is rain we will do the story time and tour inside the building. Siblings younger/older are welcome!

Join us at Glen Foerd for open boating! We’ll have canoes, rowboats, and kayaks for guests to explore parts of the Poquessing Creek and Delaware River. This one-day workshop introduces the fundamentals of color temperature and its role in creating depth, light, and mood in a painting. Through demonstrations and hands-on exercises, participants will explore the relationships between warm and cool colors and how temperature shifts can be used to model form, suggest atmosphere, and unify a composition. Working from simple references, students will practice mixing and applying color with intention. This workshop is suitable for all levels and emphasizes both observation and experimentation.
