Natural Dyeing with Riverside Plants

In this workshop with LandLab artist-in-residence Bitter Kalli, participants will learn about spring and summer plants found along the Schuylkill River that can be used to create natural dyes. Participants will learn the fundamentals of natural dyeing and will then naturally dye their own fabric. Participants are invited to bring their own items of clothing or fabric to dye, but this is not required; we will provide dye materials and fabric. This event is open to the general public; registration is required as space is limited to 10 participants.

We will supply the pumpkin along with all the specialized equipment you need for carving, as well as patterns and ideas to help you make a spectacular pumpkin. Collect seeds from all over the garden and make your own collection.   ABOUT LITTLE EXPLORERS: Every first Wednesday of the month, March through November, 10-11:30am. Adults’ Learn to Ride Biking Classes (ages 16+)

This FREE two-hour Learn to Ride class teaches participants how to ride a bicycle.  This class is perfect for those who have never ridden a bike or who may need a refresher. Bartram’s Garden is partnering with Oshun Swim School this fall to offer a series of workshops related to swimming and water, for Southwest Philadelphia residents.
