Young Involved Philadelphia annual State of Young Philadelphia (SOYP) symposium is happening on October 26th from 9am – 3:30pm at Temple University Center City!
This year, we’re diving deep into some of the most pressing issues facing our city. With panels on equitable school funding & teacher retention (Teach Plus), support for children & families impacted by grief or addiction (Eluna), and even a crash course in Philadelphia Civics 101 (led by Committee of Seventy and League of Women Voters), there’s something for everyone!
If you’re interested in the current state of our food systems we hope to see you at “Feed Me, Seymour: The Current State of Food in Philadelphia”!
We’ve got an incredible lineup of speakers, including:
🌾 R and B Farms / Philadelphia Food Policy Advisory Panel – Dimka Braswell
👨🍳 Philly Cooks for Philly – Bob Reusche
♻️ Ya Fav Trashman – Terrill Haigler
💫 Hygieia Consulting, LLC – Melanie Cataldi
And the conversation will be moderated by Evan Ehlers of Sharing Excess!
This is your chance to connect with local changemakers, gain insight into the challenges and opportunities facing our food systems, and be part of meaningful dialogue.
🎟️ Tickets include breakfast and a light lunch so make sure to grab yours today!
As part of our event, we are proud to support Operation Save Our City’s Sunshine House and invite attendees to bring donations. Items requested include socks, non-perishable snacks, toiletries, and menstrual products. Your contributions will help support those in need in our community.
Don’t miss this chance to connect, learn, and make a difference!
