Nic Esposito is hosting a book release party for his newly written, self-published novel, Seeds of Discent and you’re invited! The event will include a reading of the book, whose focal point is on sustainable and natural living in urban settings. Local musicians, Radiant Brains Party will perform and  food and drinks will be served. The storytelling will be held at Studio 34: Yoga Healing Arts located at 4522 Baltimore Avenue in West Philly. The event is FREE but donations are encouraged. Remember, self-publishing is a lot of work! So help support this social and environmental activist by attending this event. Dig out your best boots, gloves and any other outdoor wear for Snipes Farm’s volunteer day. Volunteers will be able to plant potatoes, and participate in transplanting and orchard thinning. Kensington High School for the Creative and Performing Arts is collaborating with The City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program and various other local organizations to host a volunteer day of service. Volunteers will be able to either construct an urban, organic, vegetable garden or help to paint a mural on the site. This event will take place at the high school located at 1901 N. Whether you love baking, eating or looking at cupcakes, this event is one that you do not want to miss out on! Philabundance challenges all local cupcake connoisseurs to bake their best creations drawing inspiration from PYT’s bold menu options. Even if you are an amateur or just consider yourself a cupcake enthusiast, you are still more than welcome to attend the event as a fan and taste tester. The cost is $15 in advance or $20 at the door. The event will take place at PYT in the Piazza at the Schmidt’s located at 1050 N. Come out and join the festivities as Chestnut Hill hosts its 15th Annual Home and Garden Festival. This is a time when all of Germantown Avenue blossoms into an outdoor garden. There will be over 20 vendors offering sustainable products and food. The festival will also feature live musicians, games and giveaways. There is even Yoga for children! FREE event!
