The four-hour event will allows you plenty of time to network with fellow green building advocates, fulfill continuing education credits, and attend a variety of breakout sessions. Recycling Donation Drive at Whole Foods: Impact Thrift will be in the Whole Foods Jenkintown parking lot collecting everything from clothing, shoes and accessories, to furniture, jewelry, books, record, CDs, working electronics and stereo equipment, working appliances, sporting goods, and much more. For a complete list of acceptable donations, visit www.impactthrift.org/donate. Make sure to read the list closely before bringing your donations, because unacceptable merchandise is costly for Impact to dispose of properly.

Morris Arboretum’s Arbor Day:Celebrates the importance of trees at this annual event! The interactive family fun starts 50-feet above the forest floor in the Arboretum’s “Out on a Limb” exhibit where visitors will receive a treasure hunt map. From there, guests will get up close and personal with trees and discover the many reasons we need trees. Interactive activities will focus on tree care, tree protection, where trees come from, and what trees supply us with. Visitors who complete the adventure will receive a seedling to take home and learn from a Morris Arboretum arboriculture expert how to plant and care for the new tree. At 1:30pm, children’s book author, Suzanne Ridolfi, will read the newest book in her Abby’s Adventures series, “Earth Day and the Recycling Fashionista” in the outdoor classroom.
