When we last did this hike in May, we went looking for frogs, but in winter we expect them to be at the bottom of the pond. We’ll see what flora and fauna are visible in early winter. We’ll also be visiting some historical points of interest, walking through a work of art, and admiring some beautiful rocks. Expect some rocky ascents and descents on our 3.5-4 mile route. We’ll be on the lookout for Great Horned, Screech, and Barred Owls. Less likely but always possible are Saw-whet and Long-eared owls. Philly Goat Project's "Tree Cycling" is a farm festival and a fundraiser for our non profit. Donations of $20 per tree support Philly Goat Project's free programming all year long that includes goat walks, reading with the goats at libraries and environmental education in city parks, animal assisted therapy and neighborhood teen job skills training .
