Celebration of Trees

January 13 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

FOR ALL AGES

Which Tyler tree supports over 500 species of moths and butterflies? What is a Pennsylvania Champion Tree, and why does Tyler grow so many of them? It’s because we’ve been doing this for a very long time! Some of our iconic trees were planted in the 1850s and still tower over visitors in the landscape. Join Tyler docent and Pennsylvania Master Naturalist Dave Charlton on this leisurely-paced walk to experience their majesty, learn about their role in supporting the ecosystem, and hear the tales.

PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED

Check in first at the Visitor Center, where you’ll then meet your guide. As with any walk at the Tyler, sturdy shoes are suggested. Participants should bring water and perhaps a walking stick. PLEASE NOTE: Strollers may not be ideal on this tour. We recommend a carrier to bring an infant or young child. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Members (sign in for your discount!): $5 per adult; $3 per child (ages 3-17); no charge for children ages two and under.

Non-members: $21 per adult; $13 per child (ages 3-17); no charge for children ages two and under. The non-member fee includes admission to Tyler for the day. Stay as long as you’d like!

Guest Pass Holders (for non-members only): $5 per adult guest; $3 per child guest (ages 3-17); no charge for children ages two and under. Please give the Visitor Center Associate your guest passes at check-in.
