Would you like to be part of keeping Wissahickon Valley Park beautiful and sustainable? Then join long-time steward of the Wissahickon and the FOW Volunteer of the Year (2019), David Bower, on a variety of stewardship projects at Thomas Mansion! At this very special part of The Wissahickon Valley, we’ll be sustaining recent FOW plantings of native trees, shrubs, and wildflowers, and we’ll be caring for some of the beautiful and historic gardens that have been cared for by generations of other volunteers. We’ll also remove invasive vegetation and windfall tree limbs, and we’ll occasionally do some maintenance on nearby trails.
