Join printmaker Rhonda Babb at Wissahickon Trails for a fun, 2-hour workshop where you'll use found and foraged natural objects to create monoprints. This art-making process invites you to slow down, observe, and appreciate the delicate balance of local ecosystems, like the Wissahickon watershed, which provides clean water and habitat for plants and animals. Finished nature prints can be displayed in frames or used in collage and scrapbooking projects. No prior printmaking experience is required. Join us at Cherry St. Pier on Valentine's Day to join Walk Around Philadelphia in showing some love for the city! Enjoy a festive beverage, learn about the walk, and meet some of your fellow walkers. A brief orientation for new walkers will take place at 6pm. Food and drink should be available from Cherry St. Pier vendors. Walk Around Philadelphia t-shirts will be available for purchase as well (while sizes last). We'll be halfway through our circumnavigation of the city! Day 7 starts the next morning.
