Gear up to celebrate Black History Month with WURD Radio at our upcoming event, “Phenomenal Black Philly Writers: Creating Our Essential Reading List to Survive 2025,” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s Learning and Engagement Center, 2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway Philadelphia.

Hear authors speak on the importance of writers, politically, historically and spiritually. Featured writers include:

  • Author Lorene Cary
  • Playwright Nancy Gilliam
  • Columnist and author Solomon Jones
  • Cultural writer Tre Jones

This event will include access to the ongoing PMA exhibit, “The Time Is Always Now: Artists Reframe the Black Figure.” This event is in partnership with the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Legacy Reclaimed.
