Join us for this week's activity: Design Your Own Disguise during Open Gym hours. You could design-build a mask, a headpiece, a hat, etc. with the assistance of our on-site Design Coach. We have some materials and tools available on-site for your use. If you have any promo merch/giveaway sunglasses or headbands laying around that want to be let go of OR materials you have collected for your own disguise; or to share, we will gladly receive them on-site to help construct disguises. Use as many sessions to complete and keep your work-in-progress at the studio.
Discover the wild side of Mt. Cuba Center with a day of outdoor fun in our natural lands. Take to the open skies with kite-flying, get up close to Mt. Cuba’s trucks and tractors, navigate a nature obstacle course, paint pumpkins, take a hayride, and more! Embrace your inner explorer on a guided hike through rolling terrain. Food and beverage selections available for purchase. Free parking for this event is at 1003 Old Wilmington Road, just east of Brackenville Road. This program takes place in person in Mt. Cuba Center natural lands Saturday, November 1, 2025.

This fall, Awbury’s AdventureWoods is the place to be for hands-on outdoor fun! Children ages 8–11 can join Intro to Archery & Wilderness Survival on Thursdays, Sept 25–Oct 30, 2025, from 4–6 PM, where they’ll learn the basics of archery, try their hand at carving, cook over a campfire, and practice core survival skills like foraging, knot-tying, shelter-building, and first aid. For older adventurers ages 11–15, the Intermediate Wilderness Survival program runs Tuesdays, Sept 23–Oct 28, 2025, from 4–6 PM, taking things to the next level with advanced archery drills, tool carving, matchless fire-starting, cooking, and more complex survival challenges.
