This eight-hour course* will be offered through recorded sessions available until July 31. Workshop topics include tree biology, identification, planting, and proper care. You will be joining one of the nation’s oldest, most respected volunteer urban tree-care programs. Tree Tenders are given the tools to plant and nurture trees in their own neighborhoods. Join us for a riveting evening with Dorian Anderson to learn about his exciting yearlong adventure as he took a two-wheeled eco-friendly twist on the Big Year project, where a birdwatcher tries to observe as many species as possible during a calendar year. He ultimately survived subzero temperatures, drifting snow, gusting winds, lightning storms, mountainous ascents, dog attacks, crumbling roads, and several accidents. By the end of his travels, he had spotted 618 bird species across 18,000 miles of biking!
