On view at the Center for Art & Social Engagement in Westby Hall from October 4 through December 21, Gaia Theory, an exhibition of Emily Erb’s collage and silk paintings. Erb embeds within the boundaries of a larger-than-life human form, navigational charts such as road, topography, and war campaign maps to represent the different facets of the human physiological system. Road maps become the nervous system, topographical maps become the circulatory system, and war maps become the lymphatic system. FABSCRAP needs your help to save designer textiles from landfills! It's easy to learn, fun to do, and a safe way to help out. FABSCRAP Philly needs your help to save designer textiles from landfill! Volunteers will sort through fabric samples and swatches, separating fabric from paper headers and folding large, usable fabric to be saved for reuse. FABSCRAP Philly is committed to keeping our volunteers, community, and team safe: Masks are required to enter the FABSCRAP warehouse. Holiday Hearth Workshop with Featured Designer, Juicebox Workshop!

Join Julie Woodard, founder of juicebox workshop in creating your own hand sewn holiday hearth out of textile scraps! Using textile scraps and yarn, participants will design a cozy little fireplace that can be hung as an ornament, or pinned to a coat or winter hat to add a pop of holiday cheer. Julie will demonstrate how these appliqued pieces can be further embellished with embroidered details. Restorative Yoga and Soothing Sounds of Crystal Singing Bowls

 Join Megan and Ariel at Francis Cope House for 90 minutes of relaxation. Megan will guide you through a restorative yoga class (we use lots of props and hold postures with support). Ariel will play crystal singing bowls and serenade you with a sound bath that will leave your body feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
