Join us for a chilling cryptozoology-inspired tale where nature fights back as we walk along the banks of the Manayunk Canal. Experience this immersive audio story through TrailOff, a cutting-edge app that syncs audio to your phone’s GPS as you walk. All of TrailOff’s stories are written by BIPOC authors to bring new perspectives to outdoor recreation spaces. Members of the TrailOff team will be on hand to help you get set up.
Listen to the story as you walk at your own pace. Bring a charged smartphone and headphones! We’ll bring the water and snacks!
Trail starts south of Rector Street, just past the round “Rector Street” sign near benches.
Round trip is 4.2 miles or approx. a 2 hour walk. This is a medium difficulty trail with both pavement and gravel surfaces. Heavy foot and bike traffic, especially at the start. Paid parking available near the start point. Public transit: Norristown train line or 61 bus.
