FGS: Helping Wildlife Through the Winter

From fruiting shrubs to seed-bearing wildflowers, native plants provide essential shelter and forage that sustain our wildlife through the winter. Explore how to easily create an overwintering habitat and learn about the animals that utilize it.
This program takes place in person at Mt. Cuba Center on Saturday, October 26, 2024.
About the Instructor:
Leah Brooks is the Public Programs Coordinator at Mt. Cuba Center. She has dual bachelor’s degrees from the University of Delaware in Environmental Science and Wildlife Ecology. She is a Delaware Master Naturalist and Vice Chair of the Delaware Invasive Species Council. She’s an avid contributor to the Delaware Native Plant Identification and Exchange group on Facebook. Her passion is sharing the joy of nature and native gardening with others.
