Bread and Salt

August 1 @ 5:00 pm - September 4 @ 8:00 pm
Free!

Bread & Salt invites artists to explore the role of food in human relationships. This may include, but is not limited to, family traditions, migration and diaspora, labor and service, ritual and religion, access and inequity, pleasure and indulgence, or the quiet, everyday acts of cooking for and eating with others that shape our lives.

We are interested in work that considers food not simply as subject matter, but as a lens. How does food function as a form of communication, control, memory, or care? What does it reveal about power, intimacy, or belonging? Where does it connect us, and where does it divide us?

Artists working in all media are encouraged to apply. Submissions may be literal or abstract, narrative or conceptual, celebratory or critical.
We welcome interpretations of this call that are personal, unexpected, and unresolved.
