This is a free and public opening reception for the Generative Clothing Designs (GCD) Exhibition. Location: McCabe Library @ Swarthmore College Time: Thursday, April 3rd, 5:30pm - 7:30pm The opening reception will include: - Fifty artworks on display - Short presentations by the artists - Light refreshments and snacks More Information: The Generative Clothing Designs (GCD) project seeks to bring together artists and programmers to create algorithmically generated clothing designs through a user-friendly online platform. In this exhibition, we tell the story of the GCD project which includes the Swarthmore students, alumni, and external collaborators who helped make this possible.

Art Workshop with Harvested Natural Materials

Harvest natural materials to make collaborative artwork with artist Sarah Kavage. Sarah Kavage is a Seattle-based artist who creates large-scale public art projects that call attention to ecological processes and human relationships with place. In 2021, Kavage and Yaroub Al Obaidi collaborated on Al Mudhif – A Confluence at the Schuylkill Center, bringing community members together to build a traditional Iraqi Mudhif from locally harvested Phragmites.
