Honeysuckle season is here! Lonicera japonica, better known as Japanese Honeysuckle, is an invasive species that’s hard to miss in this area, so it’s up to us to make Honeysuckle disappear in the best way we know how – eat it! Join us on a guided hike to learn about this plant and forage a bit for ourselves. After the hike we’ll learn how to enjoy these sweet and tasty plants three different ways. Slots are limited, so please purchase your ticket in advance. $10 for Schuylkill Center Members / $20 for non-members. Not a member yet? Become a member

This innovative theatrical work is the creation of Silvana Cardell, an acclaimed choreographer whose work contends with social struggles. Restoration Workday

Help us to improve the health and biodiversity of our forest while getting to know our vast, 365 acres of protected land! This is a great opportunity for those who are looking to learn more about plant identification and restoration techniques while connecting with nature and other members of your community. Together, we will work to remove invasive plant species and improve our trails. No experience is necessary. We recommend wearing long pants and sturdy boots and bringing a pair of gloves if you have them available. We will have a selection of gloves if needed, along with tools, water

Schuylkill Saturdays: Guided Hike

Philly Fairy Festival

Philly Fairy Festival is Philadelphia’s fantasy celebration of nature and all the magic that comes with it. Join our woodland friends at the Schuylkill Center for a day of art, play, and exploration. Enter your home into the Fairy House contest along the Fairytale Trail; revel with the fae-folk of Indecorous Theatre; learn fantastical crafts from the Philly Craft Coven. There will be snacks, drinks, performances, and so much more! Costumes encouraged! Check  back for updates on our growing list of special guests.
