    When schools are closed, we are open! Keep curious young minds and busy bodies active with the Schuylkill Center Day-Off Camp. Trained educators lead students grades K-6 on unique nature-themed explorations that take advantage of our science lab, Discovery Center, and 365 acres of beautiful wooded trails, streams, and ponds. Please bring a packed lunch, water bottle and an extra set of clothes. Wear weather-appropriate clothing that can get dirty. Space is limited to 30 campers. Sign up early to guarantee your spot.     Help us to improve the health and biodiversity of our forest while getting to know our vast, 365 acres of protected land! This is a great opportunity for those who are looking to learn more about plant identification and restoration techniques while connecting with nature and other members of your community. Together, we will work to remove invasive plant species and improve our trails. Workday Details No experience necessary to volunteer. Training will be provided by our expert staff during the workday. We recommend wearing long pants, sturdy boots or shoes. We will have a selection of gloves if needed

    As the only licensed wildlife rehabilitation clinic in the city of Philadelphia, the Wildlife Clinic at the Schuylkill Center takes in thousands of sick, injured, and orphaned animals each year. Our small team of clinic staff relies on the support of dedicated Wildlife Clinic volunteers to care for native small mammals, birds, raptors, reptiles, and amphibians. Start on your path to become one of our dedicated Wildlife Clinic volunteers by attending a volunteering training session.
