Come Tour Villanova University’s Stormwater Control Measure Research and Demonstration Park.Villanova is one the leading university in the research of Stormwater Green Infrastructure. The Program headed by Dr. Robert Traver conducts hydrologic and water quality research on several types of stormwater water control measures including: Stormwater wetland, bio-infiltration, bio-retention rain gardens and swales, pervious concrete/porous asphalt, infiltration trenches and green roof. The on-campus tour will be led by researchers and will discuss current research of the various stormwater controls.There will be a sufficient amount of walking around campus at this event. Join CRC Watersheds Association, Newtown Township EAC & the Garrett Williamson Foundation for a hike during peak fall bird migration.Back by popular demand, accomplished birders Mike McGraw and Bonnie Witmer will guide us through the beautiful 240-acre Garrett Williamson property during the peak of fall bird migration. We anticipate seeing flocks of warblers, vireos, and thrushes streaming through the woods and fields on their way to their winter homes in Central and South America and the Caribbean islands.
