Since 1999, InLiquid has connected artists and audiences in Philadelphia and the surrounding region. In the ninth installment of our new member showcase, New Now IX, 42 artists of diverse mediums, inspirations, and histories come together in the InLiquid Gallery. Though distinct, they are linked by the local community and a shared interest in the human experience.

This FREE two-hour Learn-to-Ride class teaches young participants how to ride a bicycle. This class is perfect for those who have never ridden a bike or who may need a refresher. Staff and volunteers will teach participants how to: Balance Pedaling techniques Starting and stopping Steering and shifting gears You can bring your own bike and helmet or rent a bike and helmet for free at the class. Geared towards 2-6 year olds we will read a story from the Philadelphia Free Library, then go on a little tour outside. Guardians must accompany child during program. A morning of fun and discovery led by Hannah Michelle of InsectopiaJoin us for an insect walk through the meadows at Pennypack on the Delaware. We'll take a close-up look at the insects that thrive during the Summer months, including an amazing diversity of butterflies, bees, and grasshoppers. Our All Levels wheel courses are perfect for students ranging from beginners to potters who have spent substantial time on the wheel. This course's projects will be sourced by the interests of the class. This class can be taken multiple times. Our multi-week courses meet once weekly for 2 hours of instruction and include unlimited open studio time for you to practice independently. Open studio sessions are booked in 1-3 hour sessions, and are offered daily. Join us for free kayaking and rowing on the Tidal Schuylkill River! No pre-registration or experience is necessary. Suitable for all ages and skill levels. Our multi-week children’s courses meet once a week for 1.5 hours. Our extended children’s course is 2 hours long. During our courses, kids will get to learn the basics of throwing on the wheel in a safe, fun environment, while also getting to experience hand-building with clay. This is a wonderful opportunity for your child or teen to use their imagination and create something with their hands that they can eventually take home with them. This one-day workshop introduces the fundamentals of color temperature and its role in creating depth, light, and mood in a painting. Through demonstrations and hands-on exercises, participants will explore the relationships between warm and cool colors and how temperature shifts can be used to model form, suggest atmosphere, and unify a composition. Working from simple references, students will practice mixing and applying color with intention. This workshop is suitable for all levels and emphasizes both observation and experimentation. Join us for free kayaking and rowing on the Tidal Schuylkill River! No pre-registration or experience is necessary. Suitable for all ages and skill levels. Equipment, life jackets, and basic instruction for kayaking and row boating provided–first-come, first-served. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. May be canceled in the event of inclement weather or unsafe river conditions. This program will be offered weekly from 10am—2pm in May, June, and September.
