Learn the basics in plant ID with horticulturist, Briar Maverick.Join horticulturist Briar Maverick on a walking tour of the Arboretum as he discusses the basics of plant identification: leaf arrangement and morphology; flower and fruit structure; bark; and growth habit. We'll look at real-world examples and explain terminology while appreciating seasonal highlights. This tour is designed for beginners to learn how to look at plants and tell one plant from another but is open to all experience levels. Please remember to wear good walking shoes and dress for the weather.

Each participant will be given a small area to stage their craft fair and market setups. They will be expected to give a brief brand statement to the group and will receive live critique to improve the quality of their displays. At the end of the workshop, participants will walk away with tangible feedback on display setup improvements, strategies for pricing and products, and how to maximize customer interactions at in-person tabling events.
