    Did you know more than 100,000 plants thrive at Stoneleigh: a natural garden? Grab gloves and join staff and fellow volunteers for seasonal garden projects. Volunteering with Natural Lands is a great way to learn more about the natural world, give your time to a great cause, and connect with like-minded people. Capacity is limited for this small-group event, and pre-registration is required. If you sign-up, please show-up. If you need to cancel, please let us know so another volunteer can attend. All are welcome, ages 12 and up. Children age 12-14 must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Horticulture Volunteer Day

    Bartram’s Garden 5400 Lindbergh Blvd., Philadelphia, United States

    Volunteers will support seasonal plantings, weeding, and invasive species removal. Registered volunteers will meet at the Welcome Center promptly at 9:30 AM. Staff will separate groups and provide instructions and safety protocols for the day. Out of respect and safety for our staff and others, please arrive on time.     Help us to improve the health and biodiversity of our forest while getting to know our vast, 365 acres of protected land! This is a great opportunity for those who are looking to learn more about plant identification and restoration techniques while connecting with nature and other members of your community. Together, we will work to remove invasive plant species and improve our trails. Workday Details No experience necessary to volunteer. Training will be provided by our expert staff during the workday. We recommend wearing long pants, sturdy boots or shoes. We will have a selection of gloves if needed
