Sankofa Community Farm Volunteer Day

Sankofa Community Farm at Bartram’s Garden 5400 Lindbergh Blvd, Philadelphia, PA

Volunteers will work alongside Farm staff to support seasonal plantings, harvesting, weeding, invasive species removal, and orchard support. Volunteers will meet at the Sankofa Community Farm at 9:30 AM and be separated into groups and provided with instructions and safety protocols for the day. Out of respect and safety for our staff and others, please arrive on time. PLEASE NOTE: Each adult must register individually in order to complete the waiver. Parents/guardians must complete registration for individuals 18 and under. Registration full but would like to still participate? Tools are provided, but feel free to bring your own. Love Your Park Week

This spring, show your favorite neighborhood park some love! Love Your Park Week is a nine-day celebration of Philadelphia’s public parks from May 10-18, 2025. In partnership with Philadelphia Parks & Recreation and Fairmount Park Conservancy, Park Friends groups across the city are hosting events & volunteer cleanups for Love Your Park Week 2025. Over 100 Philly parks need volunteers to help with tending gardens and flower beds, caring for trees, and cleaning up our parks to prepare for the busy spring and summer seasons.

Restoration Workday

Help us to improve the health and biodiversity of our forest while getting to know our vast, 365 acres of protected land! This is a great opportunity for those who are looking to learn more about plant identification and restoration techniques while connecting with nature and other members of your community. Together, we will work to remove invasive plant species and improve our trails. No experience is necessary. We recommend wearing long pants and sturdy boots and bringing a pair of gloves if you have them available. We will have a selection of gloves if needed, along with tools, water
