The Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia is hosting FREE biking days at Bartram’s Garden through the end of November. Come ride the Bartram Mile trail! Come by for free bike loans, simple repairs, tips, and tricks! Snacks will be provided. Bike loans are available to minors with the accompaniment of a guardian or with a signed waiver. Who hangs out in Bartram’s Garden after the sun goes down? We’ll be checking out nighttime insects and animals in the Garden with Naturalist Ken Frank (author of Ecology of Center City Philadelphia, Garden Horticulturalist Mandy Katz, and young Entomologist Adam Knap in the wooded Lower Garden nearby the Schuylkill River, luring an incredible array of nocturnal insects with black lights, overripe bananas, and molasses.
