    Gingko Lawn

    Stop by for an interactive, nature science-based lesson and craft, featuring special guest Haley from the Pennsylvania Game Commission. Learn about some of the animals that inhabit PA while exploring mammal furs and skulls. Get a close-up look at what these mammals look and feel like, while also determining their niche just based off of their skulls. While supplies last. All ages are welcome, no registration is required. Pop-Ups are outdoors and may be canceled in the case of inclement weather.

    The Bicycle Coalition and Families for Safe Streets will work in collaboration with Barbara's friends and family to host a silent, slow roll bike ride from Civic Center Blvd and Spruce St. to the site of Barbara Friedes crash, 18th and Spruce.     Many people have heard an owl, but few have ever seen one. Mt. Cuba’s varied landscapes and topography provide the ideal habitats for three of Delaware’s native owl species – the barred, great horned, and Eastern screech – and winter is the best time to spot them roosting in our trees.     Saturday, February 1 from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm Weathering the Winter Winters were harsh in the 18th century, but even in cold and snowy weather there was still plenty of work to do around the farm. Fires had to be built, food preserved and cooked, and animals needed tending.
