Environmental Literacy and Sustainability in STEELS Institute

When and where: Monday, April 8, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Stroud Water Research Center. Wednesday, April 10, 2024 from 9:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Longwood Gardens. Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Chester County Intermediate Unit. Cost: Free; lunch is included. 17.5 hours of Act 48 will be provided to certified Pennsylvania teachers. Space is limited and registration closes on Monday, March 25, 2024. Join us for three days of collaboration at some of Chester County’s unique environmental locations! This will be an experience-based institute focused on the Environmental Literacy

Volunteer with Haverford College Arboretum!Every other Tuesday during the active volunteer season (April - October) the Arboretum hosts volunteer workdays open to the community. Each session is led by a staff member and focuses on gardening in a different area of campus. Activities will vary each week and can include but are not limited to planting, weeding, mulching, clearing invasives, and watering.
