Weekday Bird Walk

FREE FOR MEMBERS! Pre-registration is required. Join birders Sara Boucas-Neto, Chuck Root, and Dave Eberly on Wednesday morning walks at Tyler. With acres of unbroken forest interior and extensive meadows, Tyler is recognized by the Pennsylvania Audubon Society as an Important Bird Area. Bring your binoculars and be prepared to walk on all types of surfaces. Walks are rain or shine. GATES OPEN AT 8 am. Please be on time as the group leaves promptly from the parking lot at 8:10 am, and the gate will close at 8:10 am. Budding Naturalists Spring Session!

Riverbend Environmental Education Center 1950 Spring Mill Road, Gladwyne

Join Riverbend educators for a preschool-friendly nature-based program that includes a story, craft, nature activity, and a “hike” around our preserve. Every week we’ll gather in Riverbend’s Snider Barn to begin the fun! This program is one hour each week and is designed for children ages 2-5. A caregiver must accompany each child. Siblings under 2 are welcome at no additional charge. The cost is $120 per child for a six-week session. Enrollment is capped at 12 participants. Jennifer Archibald, lauded by The Philadelphia Inquirer for her “sleek, lovely, highly athletic” choreography, is the founder and director of Arch Dance Company and a lecturer at Columbia and Yale Universities. This world premiere marks the beginning of a two-year commission culminating in a full-length ballet in BalletX’s 2024-2025 season. Nicola Wills is BalletX’s 2024 Choreographic Fellow. Wills has danced with Queensland Ballet, Ballet Dortmund, and Royal Ballet of Flanders, and was selected for the BalletX Fellowship from over 55 international applicants.
