On view at the Center for Art & Social Engagement in Westby Hall from October 4 through December 21, Gaia Theory, an exhibition of Emily Erb’s collage and silk paintings. Erb embeds within the boundaries of a larger-than-life human form, navigational charts such as road, topography, and war campaign maps to represent the different facets of the human physiological system. Turning Your Household Waste into Worm Compost ‘Black Gold’This hands-on workshop aims to teach the audience the benefits of, and start-to-finish process for, creating one’s own cache of vermicompost; as well as demonstrate how to build a worm bin from two designs currently used by the presenter in her own Philly rowhome.
