Fall Migration Bird Walk

As the season begins to change, birds are prepping for their fall migration. Join Assistant Preserve Manager Claudia Winters in search of south-bound migratory birds and learn which birds are moving through Sadsbury’s woodlands. These habitats provide resources for a variety of species, including warblers, flycatchers, and thrushes.  (NOTE: To get to the event please click here or type in 443 Old Wilmington Road, Coatesville, PA 19320. Please don’t just type in Sadsbury Woods Preserve in your GPS, that will lead you to the middle of the preserve, via a neighbor’s driveway.)

Volunteer – Care for Nature

Grab gloves and join fellow volunteers in removing invasive plant species, nurturing native plants, and restoring habitats. Projects vary, but good fun (and dirt) is guaranteed! Natural Lands cares for more than 23,000 acres and 120 miles of trails, and we couldn’t do it without volunteers like you. Richard’s Rambles: Grand Meadow Wildflower Display

FOR ADULTS (18+) AND YOUTH AGES 15+ As summer wanes, the meadows come alive with life! A glorious display of flowers and insects gain sustenance from each other while birds and dragonflies fill the air above. We will look for several species of native goldenrods and discuss the important role this keystone species has in our ecosystem. This edition of Richard’s Ramble will be slower-paced with mostly level walking as we concentrate on the smaller, fascinating community living in the meadows. There’s more to discover in Tyler’s 650 acres. Join Dr. Richard Brenner for a walk through the various eco-communities at Tyler.

Bartram’s Garden Welcome Center

Come out for a walk in the park! Join neighbors for a free, easy 1-hour walk on the Bartram’s Mile Trail with a group. Come every week or just when you can! All walks will be led by a trained We Walk group leader from the community. Thursday walks will be held weekly at 5 PM between September 1 and October 27, 2022.
