TrailOff Walk-in Event on the Perkiomen Creek Trail: A Sycamore’s Psalm

June 2 @ 11:00 am - 1:30 pm

Free

A TrailOff walk-in featuring a bonus poetic exchange with the story’s author donia salem harhoor and Noam Keim – author of the award-winning collection, The Land is Holy.

Experience this immersive audio story through a cutting-edge app that syncs audio to your phone’s GPS as you walk. Told through the voice of a young poet, A Sycamore’s Psalm explores care-giving, family dynamics, loss, and roots of every kind. Travel with young Nehet – named after a tree – as she journeys through a diasporic legacy of Egypt, both ancient and contemporary, while encountering the history of the Perkiomen Creek and Trail in this gathering of lyric verse honoring loved ones present and past.

All of TrailOff’s stories are written by BIPOC authors to bring new perspectives to outdoor recreation spaces. Featured in Best of Philly!
