How to Build Hempcrete Panels: A Two-Day Hands-on Workshop

Join Cameron McIntosh, Owner of Americhanvre, and top expert in hempcrete construction, for this two-day hands on workshop on May 6-7, 2023 from 9:30am-5:00pm at Wild Fox Provisions in Barto, PA (only one hour from Philadelphia)! Participants will learn the cast-in-place method of hempcrete construction and how this application can be combined with off-site construction and pre-framed panels as designed by Matt Marino of Homeland Hempcrete.
This workshop is great for builders, tradespeople, architects, designers and hemp enthusiasts looking to expand their understanding of hemp, lime and other hemp building materials.
Ticket price includes breakfast snacks, lunch, coffee, water, safety equipment, and invaluable training!
A small number of full and partial scholarships are available. Assistance will be prioritized for individuals enrolled in an apprenticeship or building trades program or at an early stage of their career in a building trade and/or those experiencing other financial hardship who would like to participate in this workshop. All Together Now PA and Americhanvre are proud to be partnering with Farmer Jawn who will be the recipient of the completed workshop panels. The panels will be used to build their future corner store in Philadelphia.

Participant requirements:
- Age 18 and up
- Able to stand, lift, and bend frequently throughout the two day workshop

- Agree to sign a release to allow video recording and photographs (emailed to you after registration and payment)
- Agree to provide emergency contact information (emailed to you after registration and payment)

About Hempcrete
Hempcrete is a hemp-lime mix that creates breathable, highly insulated and durable walls. The plant and mineral based material is naturally flame retardant and anti-microbial, eliminating the need for any added toxic chemicals. Hempcrete walls continuously absorb odors, toxics, and carbon dioxide from the air making the indoor air cleaner than the air in buildings made from typical petrochemical based building materials. In 2018, the US Farm Bill removed hemp from the Controlled Substances Act and deemed hemp an agricultural commodity, no longer mistaken as a controlled substance.
