About the Instructor:
Elyse Jurgen, owner of Waxwing EcoWorks Co., rebuilds ecological literacy and biodiversity through hands-on ecological gardening experiences for all ages. She is CBLP Certified, Ecological/Permaculture Certified Designer, Mt. Cuba Center Ecological Gardening Certified, and holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Education. She facilitates trainings and certificates for home gardeners and landscaping crews and coordinates Lancaster Schoolyard Habitat. In addition, Elyse uses a participatory approach with land owners, during the design/install/steward process, to maximize the potential in enhancing human well-being and supporting dwindling wildlife populations.
