Bonnie MacAllister has exhibited her embroideries at Yellowstone Art Museum, the New York Public Library , the New School for Social Research, the Trenton City Museum, and the State Museum of Pennsylvania. Her work incorporates recycled textiles and farm sourced fibers.
In her residency at Cherry Street Pier, Bonnie offers community education in fiber arts using locally sourced and recycled materials. Her favorite thing is to create new embroiders by teaching accessible methods for all ages and abilities.
Register for the Drop In Embroidery session in Studio 16 for a drop in 1-4 pm session which will include targeted advice for each participant.
Bring a reference photo on your phone or freehand a new drawing. All materials will be provided to complete your own original project.
We will enjoy the pier landscape and even take time to sew in the pier garden which offers a view of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge and Race Street Pier.
