On the Horizon: Philadelphia Solar Week

Start

As the inhabitants of Philadelphia roast under the unrelenting sun of July and August, it is easy to dream of shading the entire city with solar panels in an effort to do something useful with the radiation that otherwise renders the daylight hours insufferable.

Philadelphia Solar Week, August 15–19 is a start, with Solarize Philly, a program of the Philadelphia Energy Authority, organizing the week of virtual events to help people fight climate change and generate their own energy with solar power.

Solar Week kicks off on August 15 with a Residential Solar 101: Learn How to Go Solar At Home webinar and on August 19 features a spotlight on solar workforce initiatives. Check out the schedule for more information on these events and all the others in between.
