Do you ever stop and question how our city’s schools are addressing matters of sustainability in the classroom?
This month’s Urban Sustainability Forum will reveal the need for students in kindergarten through high school to have knowledge and understanding of the natural environment.
The event will showcase examples from local programs and institutions that are effectively taking on this challenge (see our February ’11 issue pgs. 14-15 for Greenfield and Springside Schools’ environmentally-aware programs).
Various organizations from surrounding regions, with both formal and informal approaches, will discuss the importance of educating children and teens in issues of sustainability.
Continue after the jump for the program’s line-up of presenters.
