PDE Shell Recycling Area North Church St.,, Wilmington, DE, United StatesHelp PDE bag oyster shells so that they can used in restoration projects and support clean waters!PDE has been collecting oyster shell from Wilmington area restaurants since early 2016. Generally, spent oyster shells go to landfills, but with our recycling program, shells are going back to the bay! Oyster shells are important for baby oysters and the entire aquatic ecosystem. Juvenile oysters need hard structures to attach to...which in turn leads to more oysters! We need to put our recycled oyster shells into bags so that they are easier to transport and easier to use on restoration projects.Who: Anyone age 12
