Airy Avenue and Mt. Airy Terrace and a stop for Bus 53 on Sedgwick Street & Wayne Ave. See map for details. Restrooms: There will be a composting toilet available for use at Kitchen’s Lane. Join Trail Ambassadors Naomi Leach, Jennifer Danos, Reagan Hedlund, and Claire McGrath on a trek along the White Trail. We’ll pass by Valley Green Inn, Livezey Dam, and a rocky stream crossing over the Cresheim Creek tributary. This is a moderately difficult hike with some steep sections, so sure footedness is a must.     Meeting at Mt. Airy Avenue Trailhead (view location on Google Maps) Our Discover the Wissahickon hike series is presented by Newrez. Join Trail Ambassadors Seya Fadullon, Courtney Malley, Margaret Kinnevy, and Mark Tuveson for a hike through Carpenter’s Woods, one of the oldest growth forests in the park. Starting at the Mt. Airy Avenue Trailhead, we’ll take the White Trail north, explore this oft-forgotten section of the park, and loop back around. This will be a fairly easy hike appropriate for all fitness levels.
