The Wissahickon Trail Classic was established in 2006 to highlight the Wissahickon Valley Park as one of the best trail running destinations on the East Coast. Back for its 15th, the Wissahickon Trail Classic will engage hundreds of trail runners from the region, providing a unique race experience in Philadelphia’s premier park. Benefiting Friends of the Wissahickon, funds raised through the Trail Classic will go directly back into the stewardship of the Wissahickon trail system and watershed. Date: Saturday, June 1st

Meet at the Kiosk at Forbidden Drive and Northwestern Ave. Ready to explore Andorra’s forest, meadow, and hillside trails? Apart from being beautiful with a diverse set of landscapes, it is a convenient location to access via car or bus. From our meeting spot near the Cedars House, we will walk up the hill to the Wissahickon Environmental Center, and on through both forest and meadow. Along the way we will encounter remnants of the old nursery, a 400 year old tree, a food forest, and a frog pond. We will loop around to our starting point for those who
