  • City Nature Challenge Evening Walk

    Crossways Preserve

Help us document the biodiversity at Crossways Preserve using iNaturalist. City Nature Challenge is a global celebration of biodiversity in and around urban areas. Over 3.3 million observations and over 73,000 species were identified by 102,945 participants in 2025. We will work to document as many trees, plants, animals and insects we can find at Crossways. Participants should bring an electronic device with iNaturalist downloaded and a free account already set-up or a camera. Dress for the weather and be prepared for muddy and wet trails For those unfamiliar with iNaturalist, see this video on our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjlWTDR_tSA Access Information

  • 57th Annual Wissahickon Creek Clean Up

    Wissahickon Watershed

Our inaugural Creek Clean Up was held in 1970 to coincide with the very first Earth Day! Join us in celebrating both events by helping clean the Wissahickon Creek, its tributaries, and local trails on Saturday, April 25th. This is the perfect volunteer event to get outside and show your support for a cleaner watershed. All volunteers choose a pre-assigned section of the Wissahickon Creek, its tributaries, or a section of trail. Maps (including parking, cleaning boundaries, and trash drop sites) can be found on the registration page. Please note that this is a self-guided volunteer outing and you will join other volunteers
