We Are the Seeds

Join us September 19–20 at Cherry Street Pier for a weekend celebrating contemporary Indigenous arts, cultures, and community. Saturday features the Seeds Philly Powwow, Indigenous artists, El Mercado Cultural, and hands-on art activities including corn husk doll making and paper tipi art making. Sunday brings music, dance, artist talks, storytelling, and workshops. Canpatlaneci Danza Azteca del Anahuac, We Are the Seeds Dance Troupe, singer Jennifer Kreisberg, composer Zachariah Julian, and more, along with a creative writing and improvisation workshop with Nicholson Billey and Indigenous Caribbean gourd painting and an artist talk with Priscilla Bell.
