Join artists from Addenda to explore the process of zine-making as an act of archival activism.During this workshop, participants will be presented with historical documents, including those referenced in the exhibition, and will create a zine in response using a range of provided materials. This event is an opportunity to dissect and correct historical untruths and omissions, and a chance to discuss our collective responsibility to maintain a complete and honest historical record.

Participants will learn how artists use color within their work while challenging themselves to play and investigate new applications.During “Color as Collage,” we invite participants from our community to handle color through a set of exercises to develop a deeper understanding of color theory and application. We will use pre-painted gouache swatches to build compositions that deal with specific palettes, color contrasts, patterns, and spatial relations. Participants will complete several collages using simple tools that can hopefully expand their own artistic practice at home.This workshop is in association with the artists' duo exhibition at DVAA, "How to Map an Echo."No
